Where to Find the Best Vineyards in The USA

What’s good about traveling is to experience the best things that the place can offer. If ever you have plans to visit the US, you should at least try checking out their vineyards. So, if you are wine aficionado or want to taste excellent wine, then the country won’t disappoint you. Here are some of the best vineyards that you can visit and enjoy.

Duckhorn Vineyards in Napa Valley, CA

Once you have your ESTA processed, you should include Duckhorn Vineyards in your itinerary. Located in St. Helena, along the Silverado Trail, which offers you a stunning view of their vineyards in the airy estate house. Not to mention that the Wine Spectator awarded Merlot Napa Valley Three Palms Vineyard 2014 as the top wine out of the 16,000 contenders.

Wine tasting, though requires you for a reservation, starts at 40 USD. You must try the vineyard’s Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Scribe Winery in Sonoma County, CA

Another nearby vineyard is in Sonoma County, which is less than 30 minutes from Napa Valley. It has 250 wineries that specialize in Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir. If you want a more laidback atmosphere, with less crowd, then you should visit the Scribe Winery. You can do wine tasting, also by reservation, in a Mexican blanket and enjoy their earthy Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sylvaners, and Rieslings partnered with nuts and homegrown fruits.

Augusta Winery in Augusta, MO

California isn’t the only state that offers the best wine in the US. Augusta, the first federally approved by the American Viticultural Area before Napa, took home the 2018 Missouri Wine Competition award for their 2016 Norton Estate Bottled to honor the state’s official grape and American’s oldest grape.

Enjoy and sample five regular wines for only $5 or $8 for their premium or limited wines while overlooking the Missouri River Valley. If you haven’t processed your ESTA, you still have time and celebrate special occasions at the Augusta Winery.

Sawtooth Winery in Snake River Valley, ID

Sawtooth Winery, supplied by the most extensive Skyline Vineyards, offers Rhone varietals. Have a taste of their Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Gris, Roussanne, and their award-winning Riesling while savoring the ambiance of their rustic, wood-beamed tasting room. Make sure that you already have your ESTA and get to enjoy the lush slopes of the Sunnyslope Wine Trail while sipping and smelling the wine.
